The fashion supply chain is extremely complex and global, difficult to control due to the networks of subcontractors engaged in the production of materials and finished products. Forced and child labor, starvation wages, and unhealthy working conditions are just some of the problems we hear about more and more often. Here at Tanticchia, we try to simplify our supply chain as much as possible: products are made in local workshops in Turin, which we can visit frequently. Being small has its advantages! Raw materials come from Italian producers and traceable supply chains. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the provenance of deadstock materials (end of roll), vintage, or recovered fabrics, but we make sure these resources are valorized as much as possible!
We can define our production as ethical, as Tanticchia works with social tailoring workshops in Turin, which employ people in need, offering them a concrete and qualified profession. We are proud to be able to contribute in our own small way to the professional development of vulnerable people, who currently have greater difficulty entering the workforce.
